Marinara Sauce

½ a large onion, diced

1-2 cloves garlic, pressed

2 ½ cups canned tomatoes (I used 1 ½ cups crushed and 1 cup diced)

½ tablespoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

salt to taste

Saute onion and garlic until transparent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer up to two hours.
